IT Marketing And The Rise Of Social Media [STUDY]
75 percent of information technology (IT) marketers rate social media as a top trend driving technology today, with four in five (81 percent) believing that the greater emphasis on social media represents a “cultural shift” in marketing communications.
These are amongst the findings from a survey conducted by Vanson Bourne, who polled UK-based tech marketers and IT purchasers on the importance of social media. Since Vanson Bourne’s 2010 survey, there’s been a 52 percent rise in IT decision-makers describing LinkedIn, Twitter or Facebook as “useful” or “very useful”, and 73 percent now distribute information via their social media accounts.
