SECAUCUS, NJ – October 4, 2006 – “Hardball with Chris Matthews” hits the college circuit once again as we come into the homestretch of the 2006 election season. Matthews will visit Georgetown University to speak with special guests Robin Williams and Barry Levinson about their new film, “Man of the Year,” a political comedy in which Williams’ character is elected President of the United States. Matthews has a cameo role in the film. Matthews will also take questions from Georgetown students and faculty on the issues that concern them most this election year. This special edition of “Hardball with Chris Matthews” – “The Hardball College Tour: Georgetown University” airs Wednesday, October 11 at 5 and 7 p.m. (ET).
“Hardball’s” non-stop Decision 2006 coverage continues as the “Hardball College Tour” heads to Iowa State University for a live show on October 18 with special guest Senator John McCain, the top Republican contender for 2008.
“Hardball” has a noble tradition of rousing college tours since 1999 with marquee guests Rudy Giuliani, Senator Hillary Clinton and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger at some of America’s great universities including Notre Dame, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, Clemson University, the University of Southern California, Michigan State University, American University and Stanford University.

In addition to the “Hardball College Tour,” MSNBC is also launching MSNBC On Campus. Working with leading colleges and universities across the country, MSNBC will air live and taped student reports from student reporters.
