Grammys Give WCBS Top Spot in Weekly Ratings

Big numbers for the Grammy Awards gave WCBS the number one slot for the week, according to the Nielsen Company.

The awards outdistanced the competition on Sunday night (2.9 million/14.3 rating).

Leading into the Grammys, 60 Minutes took hold of number four (1.1 million/5.7).

As American Idol transitioned from auditions to “Hollywood Week,” WNYW grabbed number two and three. The talent showcase averaged 1.65 million viewers and a 8.2 rating over the two nights.

The latest installment of MTV’s Jersey Shore was fifth (1 million/5.2).

WNBC made one appearance in the Top 30, with Law and Order: SVU (24th/665,000/3.3).
