Former Lakers Announcer Spero Dedes Arrested in Southampton
Looks like former Lakers radio play-by-play man Spero Dedes is having a tough time back east. According to Southampton Patch, Dedes was arrested over the weekend and charged with driving while intoxicated, after getting pulled over for speeding by Southampton police.
Dedes’ lawyer Colin Astarita told Patch he anticipates a “complete dismissal of the charges due to problems surrounding Mr. Dedes traffic stop and ultimate arrest.” He did not give any more details.
Dedes left Los Angeles late last month to take a job as the radio and TV play-by-play man for the New York Knicks.
