It’s a new year, which means new challenges for digital brands.
So what can we expect in 2015?
How about more social media brand meltdowns? This were already on the increase in 2014 and there’s no reason to expect this year to ease up – look for some big names being called out by fans and followers on some questionable humour, ill-advised hashtag bandwagoning and general you-should-know-better missteps.
Is citizen journalism the new journalism? Perhaps. Social media has certainly given all of us the potential to be on-the-spot reporters, but will people start to trust the “news” from their connections on Twitter more than they will the networks?
Look for epayments to really start to take off this year.
