Dennis Crowley: Foursquare 'More Interesting' Thanks to Being Based in New York City
Dennis Crowley is already a veteran of one New York-based tech startup in the form of Dodgeball, and now he is charge of another in Foursquare.
We asked Crowley about what it takes to launch a startup in New York, and how it compares to Silicon Valley in terms of culture and availability of financing.
“When Alex [Rainert] and I were trying to raise funding for Dodgeball we had a really tough time, there wasn’t a strong angel network here in New York, especially for tech startups,” Crowley says.
