Blip.tv Inks Pact With YouTube, NBC Local

Online media firm blip.tv unveiled a slew of distribution and other partnerships Tuesday, plus a redesigned show creator dashboard.

The company is expanding its blip.tv distribution network with partnerships with Google’s YouTube, NBC Local Media New York, digital video player maker Roku and Vimeo.

The deal with YouTube, for example, allows show creators to send episodes directly from blip.tv to their YouTube account. Blip.tv can then traffic ads on shows syndicated to YouTube and share some of the revenue with creators.
