Sandeep Aggarwal, an analyst at Caris & Co. is predicting that Kindle will be a five and a half billion dollar business for Amazon this year.
He told the International Business Times: “In our view, in 2011 Kindle can generate revenue in excess of $5.42 billion and $1.21 billion in gross profit; by 2012 we expect at least $7.96 billion in total revenue and $2.00 billion in gross profit.”
Even though Amazon is a public company that shares its sales revenue every quarter, the company is very secretive about how they present information on Kindle sales.
