WhatsApp introduced new storage management tools to help its users clear space on their smartphones.

The Facebook-owned messaging application is providing cleanup suggestions by bucketing large files, as well as media that has been forwarded many times, and then sorting those files by size in descending order and giving people a way to preview them for deleting them.

WhatsApp users will also see a preview of media before selecting one or more items to delete.

The new tools are rolling out globally this week and, when users gain access, they can go to “Settings,” “Storage and data,” “Manage storage” to use them.
