TikTok Details Initiatives for National Eating Disorders Awareness Week

This week is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, and TikTok is rolling out several new features and initiatives to help to encourage body inclusivity and provide support to anyone struggling with an eating disorder.

Starting this week, when TikTok users search for terms related to eating disorders, such as #edrecovery or #proana, the application will direct them to the National Eating Disorders Association helpline for help, support and information about treatment options.

TikTok will also share tips that it developed with experts in the fiend on how to identify negative self-talk, how to think about one’s own positive attributes and strengths and how to support a friend who may be struggling.
