Reddit began testing the ability for Redditors to add GIFs to chats on Android, iOS and the web.

Users who are part of the test group will see a new GIF button and, just as with chat messages, images and GIFs within chats can be reported and removed.

The platform began testing a new type of notification that enables Redditors to receive updates on specific posts and comment threads.

Users in that test group can tap a notification bell icon or the three dots overflow menu on posts or comments to opt for notifications on new activity.
