Pinterest detailed steps it is putting in place to thwart the spread of misinformation related to the Covid-19 vaccine via its platform.

The company is teaming up with the Association for Healthcare Social Media, a national organization of healthcare professionals dedicated to engaging with online audiences and providing expert information.

The organization will create Story Pins to help educate Pinners about the vaccines, generate awareness about the importance of vaccination and dispel myths.

Pinterest is also partnering with medical organizations that serve underrepresented groups that have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
