Meta is taking its fight against revenge porn global with the help of several partners.

Facebook’s parent company and Facebook Ireland are among 50 organizations worldwide teaming up with Revenge Porn Helpline in the U.K. on the new StopNCII.org platform.

Meta global head of safety Antigone Davis explained in a Newsroom post that the technology roots of the StopNCII.org platform derive from NCII Pilot, which Facebook and Instagram began developing in 2018 to help victims halt sharing of their intimate images without their consent.

She said Meta has been using photo- and video-matching technology for years to remove intimate images shared without consent and encouraging people to report this type of behavior and content, as well as offering resources to victims.
