The #AbortionFactCheckProject is the Twitter component of Cosmopolitan’s “It’s Not Over” package, examining how young women are continuing the fight for reproductive freedom.

Every week, Cosmopolitan and PolitiFact will join forces to debunk tweets politicians, pundits and public figures, and people are encouraged to direct message tweets to @Cosmopolitan that they believe include misinformation or misrepresent the law, for fact-checking by Cosmopolitan and PolitiFact.

They wrote on the #AbortionFactCheckProject Twitter event, “When you see a tweet with the hashtag #AbortionFactCheckProject, you can know that the info included has been vetted by our friends at @PolitiFact, the Pulitzer Prize-winning website of the nonprofit Poynter Institute that fact-checks claims and rates them on a scale of accuracy.”
