RD Recap: Florence Kane Joins Glamour; Gannett Adds Two

The latest media hirings and firings.

Joanne Lipman joins Gannett as chief content officer, with Daniel Bernard coming on board as chief product officer. Lipman famously served as the founding editor of Condé Nast Portfolio, the wonderful glossy mess that burned through $120 million of the company’s cash before getting killed after less than two years. Bernard had been head of product at Time, Fortune and Money Digital. “We are extremely pleased that Joanne and Daniel are joining Gannett,” Gannett president and CEO Robert Dickey said.
