For Eighth Straight Year, YES is Tops Among Regional Sports Networks

The YES Network is, once again, the most-watched regional sports network in the country.

For 2010, YES had the most-watched broadcast day (Monday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. ). YES, the broadcast home of the Yankees and Nets, was also the most-watched regional sports network in prime time for the seventh time in eight years, according to Nielsen Media Research (and obtained by the YES Network).

The good fortune didn’t end with the channel, as YesNetwork.com saw a 44 percent jump among unique users from the year before.

Specifically, The YES Network prime time average of 72,000 TV households is comparable to the next two New York regional sports networks combined (SNY and MSG).

YES’ Total Day average of 32,000 TV households was more than SNY, MSG Network, and MSG Plus combined (29,000).

Yankees’ telecasts on YES saw growth in key demographics from the previous year, including: Men 18 to 34 (up 11 percent), Men 25 to 54 ( up 11 percent), Adults 18 to 34 (up 23 percent), and Adults 25 to 54 ( up 11 percent).
