Yankee Group Says Whoa to iPhone vs. Android Satisfaction Reports

I read but didn’t pick up and write about a Yankee Group report that was interpreted as saying that 77% of iPhone owners would buy another iPhone while only 20% of Android phone owners would buy another Android device. This turned out to be a good move on my part:
Setting the record straight on iPhone and Android by Carl Howe of Yankee Group
The key point is that the Android data is only for “Google branded Android phone owners”. Howe points out that this leaves out, for example, owners of the Motorola Droid and HTC Evo. So, what is a “Google branded Android phone”? The blog entry does not identify specific devices. But, my guess is that it include products like the T-Mobile G1 and Nexus One.
