WSJ Gives Away Content Via iPhone App

When we first glanced at Wired‘s report that the Wall Street Journal‘s iPhone app allowed users to access the paper’s content for free we assumed they meant that some glitch in the app had allowed this to happen, so strange was the idea that the WSJ wanted to give anything away for free. However! Turns out it’s intentional. Or at least intentional in so far as it’s part of some sort of world domination master plan, we assume.

Says Wired‘s blog Epicenter: “for business news junkies the iPhone app is a watershed event, putting a financial newspaper of record on what remains essentially a consumer device for free.”
