Will Captivity Lose Rating Over Party Decor? MPAA Threatens
The MPAA not only is responsible for movie ratings, but also functions as a neighborhood decoration police force. Or at least for the corner of Sunset Blvd. and Laurel, where Privilege is located. Seems the Captivity party planners had thriftily used those left-over billboards to wrap the outside of the building for the much-anticipated event.
At 6:30 Tuesday evening, producer Courtney Soloman got a call from Marilyn Gordon who threatened to pull the film’s rating if the offensive images were not removed.
