Sam's Club's Sonya Gafsi wants to help change that

Despite numerous advances in connectivity in this tech-driven world, consumers will only stop using cash when they feel more confident that their electronic financial transactions are handled securely. So says Sonya Gafsi, Sam's Club's vp of marketing. The Walmart-owned big-box retailer is doing what it can to help bring about a cash-free world, Gafsi explains. 

But connectivity also will determine the success of the new tech that's constantly rolling out. She notes there are only so many devices consumers will want in their lives, so the ones that will last are those that make valuable connections.
