Wall Street Journal Facing Strike, Layoffs?
The craptastically tense situation at Dow Jones and the Wall Street Journal is only getting worse. Union rep/WSJ vet Jim Browning told Editor and Publisher that newsroom workers are considering a strike:
“A lot of people want to have a strike vote,” Browning said. “It is increasingly likely; a lot of people want that to happen.” […] “They’ve been bad from the start,” Browning, a 28-year Wall Street Journal reporter, said of the negotiations. “Very acrimonious.”
