Virginia Coyne Promoted to Executive Editor of Washington Life Magazine
A speedy promotion for Coyne.
After joining Washington Life Magazine this January as senior editor, Virginia Coyne has been promoted to executive editor a short six months later. Coyne becomes the magazine’s first executive editor since Michael Clements left in 2012.
Coyne came to Washington Life from the broadcast world, where she worked for over a decade and a half at NBC News Channel’s Capitol Hill bureau as a producer.
“Virginia is a true journalist whose experience in Washington and beyond will help us expand our realm of coverage and engage readers in new ways,” said Washington Life editor in chief Nancy Reynolds Bagley in an announcement.
We can expect that expanded coverage to focus heavily on politics, an area Coyne covered during her tenure at NBC News Channel.
