USA Today To Launch Lifestyle Magazine

Though USA Today ad sales were down 6.1 percent in October from a year ago sales, the nation’s top selling newspaper yesterday announced the launch of Open Air, an active lifestyle magazine geared towards the affluent. Open Air’s first issue hits the stands on Friday, March 7, 2008. ”USA TODAY has become a phenomenal media brand in its 25 years. A magazine is a natural way to extend the brand. Open Air will provide our readers with yet another way to connect with a topic that they are passionate about: Living an active and healthy life,” emailed Marcia Bullard, president and CEO of USA Weekend, to FishbowlNY. ”Open Air will also provide advertisers with a fresh, colorful opportunity to speak to our 3.9 million readers.”
