Andrew Tyndall’s annual review found that CBS News recorded the most minutes, at 882, compared to ABC’s 584 and close second NBC’s 855 (Important Note: The Tyndall Report only monitors the weekday nightly newscasts of the three American broadcast television networks: “ABC World News” with David Muir, “CBS Evening News” with Scott Pelley and “NBC Nightly News” with Brian Williams).

The report also mentioned that NBC’s DC-based transportation correspondent, Tom Costello, topped Tyndall’s list of the top 20 most heavily used reporters with 333 minutes recorded — above two other NBC reporters, Richard Engel and Andrea Mitchell, respectively.
