Txtr Adds New Language Support to its Reading App

The digital reading specialist txtr announced this week that it had just launched new versions of its reading apps in no less than 7 different Samsung app stores. In addition to adding support for several new languages, the new apps offer readers a localized eBookstore as well as a customized menu and improved character support.

Christophe Maire, CEO of txtr, had this to say: “This enlarges the txtr reach tremendously, since Samsung is the market leader in Android-based devices. We are already leaders in Germany – not only do we have the largest German language catalogue of more than 52.000 commercial titles, the download figures confirm that an eReading app is a core service for device makers. Over the last year we have been investing in building our local-language catalogues and our recent successes show that this is the right strategy.”

Txtr offers an end-to-end eBook platform and it can provide every component from the eBookstore to the apps. It’s includes cloud based personal library storage and an extensive international eBook catalogue.

The new apps can be found in the Samsung app stores for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, France, Italy, Spain, and Poland, and more countries will be added in the coming months. The apps are only available through Samsung, which means that you will need to have a Samsung tablet or smartphone.
