Two Promotions At WWD

Last week, we let you know that Alison Adler Matz had been named publisher for WWD Beauty Biz. But the Fairchild Fashion Group isn’t quite done announcing new hires — or, rather, big promotions.

This morning, they let us know that Pamela Firestone has been promoted to advertising director for WWD, overseeing advertising for both WWD and WWD.com, as well as the title’s ancillary brands.

Firestone has been with WWD since April of this year. She has previously worked as the executive advertising director for Lucky, fashion director at Gourmet, account director at CondeNet and fashion director at Details.

Jennifer Marder has been promoted to sales development director for WWD, again overseeing sales for both the title’s print and online properties.

Before joining WWD, Marder worked as the executive director of fashion advertising for the Condé Nast Bridal Group and as fashion director at Vanity Fair. She has also worked as the European fashion & luxury director at Marie Claire.
