Time Inc. to Cut 110 Staffers

This sucks.

Over the past few weeks, Time Inc. has restructured its editorial, business and sales teams. Those moves have now created a ripple effect throughout the rest of the company. In the form of layoffs.

Time Inc. plans to cut 110 staffers as it continues to reorganize itself. While the company wouldn’t confirm that number, both The Wall Street Journal and CNNMoney have cited sources pinning it to 110.

As for what Time Inc. did have to say, here you go:

“Over the last couple of weeks, we have been realigning our organizational structure to better leverage our content creation, sales and marketing and brand development operations. Our primary objective has been to better position ourselves to operate with greater agility and optimize the growth areas of our operation. As a result, there will be some job eliminations.”
