Thieves ♥ The New York Times

The New York Times has beat the Wall Street Journal on at least one important count: it has won the hearts of thieving New Yorkers.

A Starbucks at 73rd Street and Columbus Avenue (of the 17 at that corner, it’s the one with the green awning) had experienced a wave of very calculated and specific theft over a period of months. Someone, or some thing, had gotten into the habit of taking every single issue of The New York Times available at the coffee and very expensive little cookies shop, while leaving issues of the Wall Street Journal and USA Today untouched.
