Just to prove the point that there truly is “an app for that”, the U.S. White House (as in the residence and office of the President of the United States) released their own free app…

It packages news, photos, videos (including live video). But, here’s what amused me about the app: Like many other iPhone apps, The White House app is a victim of Apple’s whacky rating system.
