The Obama Watch Comes To An End: Fox News Sunday Gets Obama!

Chris Wallace must be happy…

FishbowlDC has learned that Sen. Barack Obama will finally appear on Fox News Sunday this weekend. A pre-taped interview is slated to take place Saturday in Marion, Indiana.

You’ll recall that Wallace started the “Obama Watch” in March (and even put notice of it on his office door) and dated it back to May 2006, when Wallace said Obama agreed to a face-to-face interview on Fox News Sunday.

Obama has largely avoided Fox throughout the campaign, although things changed on January 9 when he did do an interview with the cable news network.

We have to wonder: With Obama now doing Fox News Sunday, will he make good on his pledge to Bill O’Reilly to appear on “The O’Reilly Factor”?

See Wallace initiate “The Obama Watch” a while back:

>UPDATE: Fox confirms our scoop in a release…

FOX News Sunday’s “Obama Watch” to Stop This Weekend

FOX News Sunday host Chris Wallace will sit down for an exclusive one-on-one interview with Democratic Presidential Candidate Senator Barack Obama airing on Sunday April 27, 2008.

This interview follows the much talked about “Obama Watch” clock that FOX News Sunday began running on March 16, 2008 to track the time that had lapsed since Senator Obama accepted Wallace’s initiation to appear as a guest: 730 days, 13 hours, 53 minutes and 18 seconds.

The last clock count as of last Sunday was 765 days, 13 hours, 54 min, 47 seconds.
