The New NBA Basketball: Now Even Rounder-er

We, because we don’t follow the sporting matches that closely, unless it involves us going to an actual game, which means beer and hot dogs, we’re maybe a little late on this one. But, if you’re like us, and we know you are because you’re wearing the exact same t-shirt, maybe you didn’t hear about this either: the NBA has gotten itself a new basketball and, starting next season, they’ll be using it. Designed by Spalding, the new one apparently features “better grip, feel, and consistency” and, perhaps most alarming, gone are the eight sides, bound together with those thin black lines. Now we’re playing with just two. The last change, over thirty years ago? Moving the sides from four to eight. So you know that when we hit five and a half sides around 2039, we’re finally going to have something.
