TapTapTap Camera+ iPhone App Made $500K, Then Got Pulled from the App Store for Doing a No-No

TapTapTap drew a lot of attention from their August 10 blog post which revealed that their iPhone Camera+ app had a great great first month sales, had an unusually good sales in the second month (most apps fade after the first month), and provided them net sales of $507,221 in the first two months. Very impressive performance for the $1.99 app.

Unfortunately, this good fortune came to a screeching halt yesterday after TapTapTap twittered about their cool little undocumented feature thet let Camera+ users use the iPhone’s physical volume buttons as a camera shutter button.
