Half of all the advertisements in the 2015 Super Bowl included a hashtag, which was down slightly from the 2014 game, reports Marketing Land.

In total 28 hashtags were listed during 56 commercials, which was 50 percent of ads overall, compared to 57 percent last year.

By comparison, 25 website URLs were included in the ads.

Facebook led the way as the most-mentioned social platform for the second year in a row, with its four nods (7.1 percent of ads overall) edging Twitter into second place (three mentions, 5.3 percent of ads).

For the first time Snapchat was mentioned in a Super Bowl commercial alongside Facebook for the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2.
