SpinMedia—a company most widely known for folding iconic music magazines Spin and Vibe—is moving to New York. According to The New York Post, the company is moving most of its editorial staff from LA to the Big Apple. SpinMedia is keeping a sales team in LA.
Steve Blackwell, SpinMedia’s fourth CEO in just over two years, told the Post, “After eight months of operating, we all agreed that our business functions should be in the same place.”
Of course any time a media company shifts headquarters you can expect that layoffs are coming.
