Sirius CEO Karmazin: Look at that Stupid NAB Flag

Since June the National Association of Broadcasters headquarters in Washington DC has hosted a banner that reads, “You do the math: XM + Sirius = Monopoly.” New York-based Sirius Radio CEO Mel Karmazin, who contends that the NAB’s objection to the merger is based on the fact that they are fellow competitors in the national audio market, is not impressed. Karmazin rejects the notion that the Sirius-XM merger would constitute a monopoly. He tells Broadcastnewsroom, “Look at that stupid flag hanging from the NAB headquarters about our merger, you know? I mean that’s who we are competing with.”
