Please forgive the impersonal e-mail, but I wanted to let you know as soon as possible that I’ve resigned as editor-in-chief of Saveur. This was a decision made with some regret, for we’ve accomplished great things over the past twelve years, publishing what somebody else was kind enough to call “the ultimate food magazine.”

I’ve been offered some wonderful new opportunities, and will continue to work in the food and wine (and magazine) world while finishing a book and developing some other projects of my own.

Thank you for your help over the years, and I look forward to staying in touch with you.

Colman Andrews

The timing of Andrews’ e-mail is a bit odd, considering the company announced last Tuesday the promotion of James Oseland to editor.
