Rooney Mara is "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"
The much-anticipated casting of the female lead in the American film adaptation of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” has been decided. Sony announced today that Virtual unknown Rooney Mara will play Lisbeth Salander, the waifish, bisexual computer hacker from Stieg Larsson’s best-selling Millenium Trilogy. Mara has reportedly signed on to star in all three film adaptations of the books.
Director David Fincher will begin shooting the “Dragon” film next month in Sweden. The film will also star Daniel Craig, Robin Wright and Stellan Skarsgard.
