Roll Call’s Continued Market Dominance Confirmed By
2006-2007 Erdos & Morgan Opinion Leaders Survey

WASHINGTON, DC — NOV. 21, 2006 — Roll Call maintained its long-standing market leader position on Capitol Hill in the 2006-2007 Erdos & Morgan Opinion Leaders Survey released on Nov. 20, 2006. In that study, 92 percent of Congressional opinion leaders stated that they read Roll Call — a higher total readership percentage than any other national or local publication surveyed, including The Washington Post, National Journal, CongressDailyAM, The Hill, CQ Today, CQ Weekly, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

Roll Call also had the highest regular readership by Congressional opinion leaders of any other publication surveyed. Since the survey began in 1990-1991, Roll Call has been No. 1 in regular readership by Congressional opinion leaders among all Capitol Hill publications.

Additionally, Roll Call was listed as the most current and enjoyable publication by Congressional opinion leaders, as well as among the top 10 most influential, objective and credible publications as determined by Congressional opinion leaders.

“These results underscore what our readers and advertisers already know: Roll Call is the true leader on Capitol Hill,” said Laurie Battaglia, publisher of Roll Call. “This is a credit to our team, and I could not be more pleased. Each person here is focused on delivering superior coverage of Capitol Hill, and they’re doing a great job.”

Erdos & Morgan’s Opinion Leaders survey — titled “A National Study of Contemporary Issue Involvement & Media Influence” — is conducted every two years to assess the media habits (print and TV) of Congressional, government, business and professional opinion leaders in the United States.
