Despite Apple’s success over the past few years, their Mac doesn’t get much respect from smartphone platforms. Microsoft doesn’t provide a Windows Mobile sync client for it. Nokia S60 phones can sync with Apple’s iSync with after a driver installation. However, it doesn’t have all the features of Nokia’s desktop for Windows. And RIM apparently has been ignorning the Mac… until now…

BlackBerry Desktop Software: Coming Soon to a Mac Near You!

The feature that Palm Pre owners will probably be slightly envious of is the ability to sync a BlackBerry with iTunes playlists, calendars, contacts, notes and tasks. Windows Mobile owners will harken back to days long gone when they note that BlackBerry owners will have backup and restore to the desktop (Mac). And, if you have more than one BlackBerry, the new desktop can deal with that situation.

Looks like a good fit for BlackBerry owners who use a Mac.
