Reuters Journalist Hiro Muramoto Killed Amidst Bangkok Protests

Reuters television cameraman Hiro Muramoto was shot and killed on Saturday while covering the ongoing struggles between Thai military troops and anti-government protesters in the country’s capital. Soldiers fired on the crowd with rubber bullets and tear gas, the result, according to an army spokesman, of protesters throwing gas bombs and grenades at the troops.

Muramoto arrived at Klang Hospital without a pulse, doctors saying a bullet had hit him in the chest, exiting through his back.
