Rain, Rain, Will Go Away…

For those of you who have looked at the glorified gutter called the LA River and wondered why on earth the Army Corps of Engineers would ruin the natural beauty that once was Los Angeles – welcome to the reason: rain. A bunch of rain. Flooding. Mud slides. More cement please…

Anyway, the rain is over for a bit. After the break is another Twitter posted pic of the rainbow over our soaked city. We talked to LAT reporter Andrew Blankstein and he remarked that their coverage at the paper has been a combination of gumshoe reporting and relying on social media to pinpoint trouble issues. Of course, Blankstein has had quite a month: Ronnie Chasen, The Grim Sleeper and now LA melting. We asked the scribe if he was feeling worn yet. “Apres moi le deluge,” he offered FBLA.
