‘Power Bitch’ Kelly Cutrone Works on Her Image

cutrone.jpgThe New York Observer posted a profile of People’s Revolution owner and PR bad-girl (Editor’s note: Aren’t they all?), Kelly Cutrone. The outspoken maven is at her quotable best, expounding on why people don’t like women (“I think it really goes back to Salem… to this concept of, you know, hysterical coming from the uterus.”) to her reasons for playing “Rapper’s Delight” in the office (it’s “a management tool”).

We would posit that the Hills character’s willingness to submit to the article is an effort to improve her personal image, but she comes off sounding rather insane. (Also, after commentors questioned Cutrone’s age, she said she was scanning in her driver’s license.)

But wait, we have our own interview with Cutrone running next Wednesday in our weekly So What Do You Do section. In it, she regales PRNewser‘s Joe Ciarallo with more of her typical brand of brilliance. Our favorite line:

“Of course, the clothes don’t talk back. The clothes aren’t going to call you and make you call their lawyer. They’re not going to wake you up in the middle of the night because they were busted leaving a club with a drag queen. The clothes are the clothes, and usually the designers are manageable.”

More next Wednesday. It’s worth the wait.
