Package Labeled 'Anthrax' Sent To Orange County Register

Denisse Salazar of the Orange County Register reports:

A package labeled “anthrax” was received at The Orange County Register this morning. Authorities are on scene investigating the threat.

Members of the Santa Ana Fire Department hazardous materials team responded to the scene, but the powder, which is believed to be sugar, has not been tested, said Santa Ana Fire Capt. Chris Caswell. The FBI is also responding.

“There is an indication on the package that follows in line with the rest of the hoaxes.
