New York Times Mag Editor Adam Sternbergh Sells First Novel

Adam Sternbergh, the culture editor at The New York Times Magazine, has sold his first novel. The 6th Floor, the official New York Times Magazine blog, reports that the book — titled Shovel Ready — was bought by Crown Publishing.

Shovel Ready is about a garbageman who turns into a hitman. Sounds interesting.

Sternbergh has been culture editor of the Times Magazine since late 2010. Prior to that he was an editor-at-large for New York.
