New York Noise Announces 2008 Schedule


We were just e-mailed the upcoming schedule of the cult favorite NY-based indie rock video show New York Noise, which airs on Sundays at 10pm on NYC TV/Channel 25. We’ll admit to watching this show — hell, where else will you see videos by Les Savy Fav and Art Brut on tv?

So, without further ado, here’s info on upcoming episodes courtesy of NYC TV:

New York Noise episode 801 (aired 3/22, 10pm)

The new season kicks off with NYC’s pride’n’joy Vampire Weekend taking us on a tour of Morningside Heights, the delightful neighborhood home to Columbia University, St. John’s Cathedral, and Taqueria y Fonda. Then catch the first installment of the New York Noise V.J. search 2008 hosted by Au Revoir Simone, plus an interview with The Liars, a CMJ fashion recap, and other surprises. Music videos in this episode include The Thermals, My Teenage Stride, Hot Chip, Ra Ra Riot, Digitalism, New Young Pony Club, Love of Diagrams, O’Death, Vampire Weekend, The Liars, and an exclusive performance by Simian Mobile Disco recorded live at the KEXP CMJ broadcast.

New York Noise episode 802 (airs 3/23 and 3/29, 10pm)

New York Noise gets a piece of Brooklyn’s Yeasayer with an interview and a live performance of their hot smash hit single “2080,” exclusively recorded live at KEXP. You’ll also get the VIP treatment when we go behind the scenes of a video by Ladybug Transistor. Catch other features with Mark Ronson, The Black Kids, and more, plus the New York Noise VJ Search continues. It may not be holiday season anymore, but it’s definitely time for Brooklyn’s Les Savy Fav to join the show, with lead singer Tim Harrington giving us a 101 on Hanukkah– lighting candles, spinning dreidels, and giving out menorahs in Soho!
