NBC Debate Draws 10.2 Million Broadcast, 1.2 Million Livestream Viewers
Reversing the trend.
A Democratic debate that took place on a Sunday night in the middle of a holiday weekend managed to reverse the trend of declining Democratic debate viewership.
Sunday’s NBC News-YouTube debate–dotted with questions from well-known YouTube stars as well as one question delivered in cartoon form–drew 10.2 million broadcast viewers, with almost 1.2 million more watching the debate over a bevy of livestream options.
This makes last night’s debate the second highest most-viewed Democratic debate of the 2016 cycle, and the third most-watched Democratic debate ever.
