Nation Up To $271K In Donations
The Nation still needs our help, but not quite as much as before. Thanks to your generous support — a showing that’s left president and publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel “stunned, amazed, and honored” — the mag is more than halfway towards its goal of raising $500,000 to offset increased postal rates.
This Wednesday, The Nation will celebrate the only way an independent bastion of editorial freedom knows how, with… a conference call. Bob McChesney, president of Free Press, and John Nichols, The Nation‘s Washington editor, will join vanden Heuvel to discuss the continued fight against the postal hikes.
