MPA Announces Digital Award Nominees

247artRight.gifMagazines might not have any idea what they are doing in the online sphere, but that won’t stop us from celebrating what few successes there are. The MPA just announced the nominees for its third annual Digital Awards.

The usual suspects are all represented (Entertainment site of the year: EW.com, People.com, SI.com; news, business and finance site of the year: NGM.com, NewYorker.com, Wired.com) as well as some unusual ones (best mobile strategy: the mobile site on CNNMoney.com’s Retirement Channel; Enthusiast site of the year: Architectural Record).

Our vote, if we had one, would go to the video of Christopher Hitchens being waterboarded. You know, just because. Nominees after the jump.
