Making the Most of Shiny and New

Since we were kind of blabbing on and on in that last post about Roberts, we thought we’d calm down but stay in that turf and keep talking about branding for a little longer. This was a good find on “Top 20 Mistakes Marketers Make When Rebranding and How to Avoid Them.” (pdf) It’s cut and dry, easy to understand, and although it deals with the level who is hiring a creative group/person, likely not doing the messy stuff themselves, you can appreciate the thinking that’s going into it and possibly see a few points you can use to come back at a client with, to help explain why you think it’s important to have a cartoon Wilfred Brimley in the cat food company’s new logo.
