Make-A-Wish LA Does New York in Glendale

FBLA is a media partner Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. We will be bringing you stories all season long about the children the organization assists. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Los Angeles brought a little taste of New York City to The Americana at Brand in Glendale, last night, as they celebrated 14-year-old Sophie Miehl’s wish to visit The Big Apple with a Frank Sinatra tribute by Monty Aidem and New York style hot dogs courtesy of Jody Maroni’s Sausage Kingdom. The wish, which was part of the foundation’s Season of Wishes® campaign, was sponsored by BCBGMAXAZRIA Group who also surprised Sophie with bags of warm clothe so she can travel in style. While in New York, Sophie and her family will see the smash hit musical, Wicked, ice skate at the Rockefeller Center and watch the Rockettes do their eye-high leg kicks in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Sophie’s wish is one of the hundreds of wishes granted to children with life-threatening medical conditions throughout November and December as part of Season of Wishes.
